Stop worrying, it will get done before the season starts, just be patient. I'm sure you have other things to worry about beside Ngata's contract status.

You forget they let Suggs go tagged for a whole year during his prime as well.

Why don't you go ask Tony L about Ngata's contract status and just focus on this:

Not doubting Tony, but we heard that as late as Friday, Ngata's deal was as good as done. It's been almost a full week, nothing happened.

Funny thing is, I remember when Franchise tage used to end up being a 2 year thing. We tagged CMac two years in a row before we got a deal done with him. Suggs was tagged two years in a row before his deal. I know we used it on Boulware once, but I think we got his deal done quickly.

As far as using it again, I believe it can be used two more times on Ngata. Next year, he'd make the top 5 average of DLs from 2011. Year after, he'd make top 5 avg ANY player in the league (Meaning we wouldn't use the tag on him). I still do think a deal will get done this year, but I'm shocked that practically EVERY other franchise tag player has worked out an extension, but Ngata remains on the tag. He wasn't much different than the other players, and none of them got ridiculous deals (Manning did, but that was to be expected).

I used your weakness against you HaHaHaHaHaHaHa, but seriously I understand where you are coming from but I believe they will get Ngata done sooner rather than later (they need cap space) I just don't know what the hold up is if they are close (Tony said the deal is close and it could be in the range of 6 years 72million 40 million guaranteed).

Teams do it all the time. Do you feel the same way about Biscotti for cutting McGahee? He signed a piece of paper saying he would give him 6 million dollars.

Peter King thinks we'll go after Joselio Hanson if he's cut by the Eagles. Wasn't he starter for them last year?

Hanson won't last long if he is cut - there will be a lot of activity after the 2nd preseason game and Oz is not done. I think we bring in at least one veteran Olineman

Hanson would be a good addition as a depth corner.

Just curious, but did anyone sign Taylor Mays after the Niners cut him?

Do we really need more corners?
