The Crazy Newshound has found a new Ravens article.

The American Red Cross says Ravens players and fans raised more than $56,000 Saturday, for emergency relief for Japanese earthquake and tsunami victims.

Ravens safety Haruki Nakamura organized the autograph session and raffles which was held at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen.

Nakamura told WBAL's Ravens Saturday Huddle that he felt "there needed to be more done" than just issuing a press release after the March 11 disaster.

He said the event was organized quickly, with nine current and former players participating including Joe Flacco, Ed Reed and Ray Rice. Former Raven and WBAL analyst and talk show host Qadry Ismail also participated.

"You kind of get goosebumps about stuff like this, because it show how much people truly care," Nakamura added.
