House blocks funding for OBAMA CARE
Well, there's more than one way to skin a cat. The HOuse knew the
Senate wouldn't vote to repeal OBAMACARE but tried to show the people
that put them in they at least tried to.
Now they voted to block the funding for it via several admendments they
voted on.
1. Specifically, the House voted to prohibit any funds be used by the Internal Revenue Service to carry out the law's mandate that Americans buy health insurance. The individual mandate, one of the law's key tenets, has been struck down by federal courts.
2. Health and Human Services will not get the funding to do it's part.
3. Pay for any gov't employee tasked with implementing OBAMACARE will
be frozen.
Remember Galen's thread when OBAMACARE was passed. It read
something like:
OBAMA DELIVERS.
Not quite yet Galen. Net yet.

Re: House blocks funding for OBAMA CARE
I'd still like to get back the $68 pr mo that bastard took out of my pay check
due to the new tax credit.
Did anyone else have $$ deducted or was it just Federal retirees? There's a
board for us called federal soup.com and a lot of retirees are pissed off at
OBY.

Re: House blocks funding for OBAMA CARE
LOL - I touched a nerve. Nothing like being a sore loser Galen. In less than two years the real h
hyprocrites go out. At least I'm not a lying hypocrite forcing things on my country the pinko
commie way and I helped make the drinking water safe in Bagdad before the troops got there -
pretty important work for the Army.
And they also voted on this:
A proposal by Texas Republican Ted Poe to strip the Environmental Protection Agency of its authority to issue regulations on global warming passed by a 249-177 vote.
BTW Galen - how about all those retirees that lost money that agree with you. They love big gov't,
well fare and socialism. Are they hypocrites too? they also too pay cuts.
The thing that Galen and his libbies forget is that this is still a democracy
and the country didn't want any of this to begin with. So they got rid of the
DEMs and put in the guys to give us, well, change-lol.
The rest of the garbage goes out in 2012.
BTW, if I were like someone else in here, I'd cry to Tony after that personal attack but I
won't. I actually enjoyed it because I got the best of you.

Re: House blocks funding for OBAMA CARE
BTW, as someone said, Galen is always pulling facts out of his arse often skipping
links. Wisconsin just made it difficult to raise sales and income taxes.

As for more of Galen's mis-facts. I'm not a libertarian like Greg. They are the ones who
don't want any gov't or as little of it as possible. They don't want the gov't interferring
in lives in any way shape or form. Most libertarians are pro choice and they are against
pornography laws according to the 1st Amendment. They just don't like the gov't telling them what
to do. I'm pro life and I'm for pornography laws especially those that protect children from snuff
films. You gotta draw a line somewhere.
I'm for gov't but not the excessive amount that the GOP introduced with the 16th
Amendment in 1909 with the establishment of the most evil force in the world- IRS - and
then FDR's socialism of the 1930s. I'm vs people getting
handouts. I'm vs social security. I didn't like them taking all that money out of my
pay checks all those years because I would have invested it and have a lot more now.
I'm vs medicare expecially since I have to go on it in 2 years losing the great plan
I have now and I will have to pay extra for supplemental insurance.
The founding fathers, as I have mentioned many times knew there had to be some
gov't. Even libertarians know this, not just the big socialistic gov't FDR AND OBY have
given us.
I made a comfortable living for the Army and worked my ass off. I got no handouts
when I was laid off in 1980 and kept my condo and got health insurance, a plan I
had with Met Life for $20 pr mo. I also drove a 79 Mustang and kept making payments
despite losing my job.
I worked two jobs at minimum wage which was $3.35 pr hr back then. I had to go back into the gov't
at a lower grade and even kept the security guard job for a year til I got promoted.
I still rose to a higher grade than I ever had which enabled me to retire at
55 with two condos in Florida and I just got the car pictured above. That was from working my
ass off - not taking gov't handouts.
I'm proud of the work I did for the Army which has been around since the earliest
years. Edgar Allen Poe's grand father drove out all the Tories (British sympathizers) in
Baltimore and Washington appointed him as a purchasing agent and controller general
of the Army. He bought the
weapons used for the Battle of Saratoga from a French agent and was a top aid to Lafeyette
in the Virginia campaigns.

I have a certificate on my desk signed by Bush thanking me for my service in helping
to end the Cold War. I was part of a team my agency sent
to Bagdad before the troops arrived to test the drinking water to ensure its safety for
the arriving force. Sodom Hussein never knew we were in the neighborhood.
From 1776 til 1913 when the 16th Amendment was ratified forcing us to pay taxes the
average citizen never heard from the central gov't. It wasn't as strong as Hamilton and
Madison wanted it. You can read their views in the Federalist Papers.
It didn't become strong until Lincoln broke the constitution and surrounded the Maryland
State House with troops to keep it from leaving the country. After the civil war the states
never questioned the Feds again.
There has to be a gov't and people are needed to run it. The founding fathers knew this.
Greg and his Libertarians know this.
The difference was in how strong it should be and it began its fall off the clift when
FDR came in and put regulations on private industry and wall street and then OBY
socialized it.
I'm proud of the work I did in my little corner of it. If that's being a hypocrite, so be
it. I'm proud of it and what are you going to do about it.Last edited by AirFlacco; 02-20-2011 at 03:19 PM.
