Good move. They really need to crack down on this sort of thing. But just wait for either the NFLPA or the attorney's of these guys to file some sort of a grievance.

I've got to admit, I'm a little stunned at the penalties! I totally agree with his response, in fact, it's been long overdue, I just didn't think he had the stones to come down on them this hard! Good for him, its about time! It will be interesting to see how the Players Union responds!

Although I'm extremely happy that the NFL is starting to bite instead of just barking. The problem here is that both will be back making a lot of money again. If any of us did this we would have be fired forever from our jobs.
Packman just doesn't get it 10 times with Police involvement. Yes some were dismissed but it shows the type of person he is.
Are these the type of football players we want our kids to look up to hell no.
They need to be put out of the NFL forever and make them work a real job that doesn't begin to pay what they are getting now.

From what I read, the players who violate this conduct policy must also undergo counseling or some such thing before they return, and they must be cleared to re-enter the league
So far, I'm very impressed with Goodell. Seems like he'll be a fine commissioner

What some of you that don't agree with this specifically Mraven is the henry/jones situation is a habitual thing.
Look it up, not just a one time thing.
