Playoff Seeding...Interesting Question
I wonder...
If we win next week and have at least the #6 seed locked up before we play Cincy at home on January 2...and the division is lost...
and if by winning that game our reward as the #5 seed is to play the Irsays at their place...
and if by losing that game we get the #6 seed and instead go to Kansas City...
would we want to win the Cincy game?
Think about it. Give a few tired vets a day off...or most of a day off...it could be like a bye for some of them. And we could avoid our kryptonite.
Discuss.

Bring on the Dolts. No better time for payback than in the playoffs. This is no time to get cold feet.

Re: Playoff Seeding...Interesting Question
It's an interesting question.
Didn't the Colts themselves get burned by doing this a couple years ago - resting their starters, taking a bad loss, then finding themselves unable to get it back in gear again in the playoffs?

Re: Playoff Seeding...Interesting Question
Camden,
If we win next week, the division cannot be lost - we would still have a shot at winning the division. Pissburgh won't lose to Carolina on Thursday, but it's not out of the question for Cleveland to beat Pissburgh the last week of the year.
Because of that possibility, the Ravens won't rest anybody against Cincitucky the last game.Ravens Nest #1, Harford County

MAN UP, Camden.
WE WANT to face the Indy team.
WE NEED to face the Indy team.
It's the only way to reach the true closure we've been seeking since that cold, wintery night back in 1984.
If we're worthy of being champions, we can't be ducking any of our rivals/enemies.

Re: Playoff Seeding...Interesting Question
Punch whoever, whenever, in the face. Indianapolis, Kansas City, it doesn't matter. Plus, I'd like to play Pittsburgh again, and that would be more likely to do from the 5th seed than from the 6th seed.

Re: Playoff Seeding...Interesting Question
With all their injuries this Colts team is not the same squad. Of course Manning is always dangerous but the bigger question is will the offense solve the riddle of the Colts Cover Two?
The undoing of any Ravens playoff run has been an inability to score.
The Colts defense this season has been awful. Giving up 24 a game, better against the pass and dreadful against the run.
I don't care.
