Re: God never said, "Thou shalt not hate"
Hey Tony - God did say to love your neighbor as thyself so if we have any
neighbors as Squeelers fans we're supposed to love them.
Guess God's gonna zap me on my judgement day for that one. Hell man, I got them
in my family and I hate them.
The Bible also says we will be judged for the good and the bad things we do. That
means two judgements for Christians but if hating Squeelers is my worse sin then
I'm ahead of the curve.

Re: God never said, "Thou shalt not hate"
Jesus said, "“If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple." (Luke 14:26) So for the Christians on the forum, I'd have to imagine that hating the Steelers is much easier than hating your own family.

Re: God never said, "Thou shalt not hate"
Agreed PSU... I always find it odd that people can talk about their belief in a deity and everyone is expected to be down with it, but when someone responds with the same candor about their non-belief, they're rude and obviously starting shit.
Not trying to force a debate, just a thinking point worth mulling over in the warm afterglow of our imminent victory over those inbreds.

Re: God never said, "Thou shalt not hate"
No one is expecting anyone to go down with anything.
Tony made a little light hearted humor and I responded in kind. Just preaching to
the choir as the say.
Nothing serious at all. This thread is like going to a dinner
party.
Do you show up at a dinner party with your neighbors and ask, 'What's this dinner party's position on
absolute truth?' No, you don't, because it's a nonsensical question. Or this:
Did you guys know AC/DC got the name off a sewing machine and didn't know what it really
meant, that it was slang for something else - according to the band. They spent their entire career
denying they were, well, what its name really means. True!
Some Christians think it means Anti-Christ with their mega
hit song - Highway to Hell but when I sing it on karaokee night I substitute the personal pronoun I to
The Pittsburgh Steelers are on the highway to hell. They're on the the highway to hell. No
stop signs, speed limits, are gonna slow them down and they're going all the way down -
NOW! The place goes nuts. How's that for hate week?
Just having a little fun on a cold and boring Friday night but I
definitely have to start using the sarcasm avatar for certain folks on this thread
and this ain't the first time.Last edited by AirFlacco; 12-04-2010 at 05:29 AM.
