    OT / Clayton is ....

Out for the season with a "knee injury", per NFLN

    Damn shame.

That blows, was really pulling for him to do well

    That sucks.

Regardless of what we all thought of him as a player while he was here...he was a standup person and a really hard worker. And it blows to have this happen in the season before you reach UFA.

I hope he has a full, speedy recovery and a successful career.

NBC Sports reporting it's a patellar tendon tear that will require a knee reconstruction.

Screw next season. This could be career ending.

That's exactly the injury that I had, and the exact same surgery. Speaking from experience, I guarantee even after 100% recovery from surgery, he will be slowed down a bit. So yes, HR, this could be career ending.

Very much a shame, because he was starting to have a pretty good season out there in St Louis.

    Really unfortunate.

He was becoming Sam Bradford's safety blanket -- a pretty enviable position for a WR to find himself in.

    Hope his recovery is 100%.

Terrible break for the guy, he seemed poised to completely rejuvenate his career with Sam Bradford at QB. I really hope he can come back from that and be a Comeback Player of the Year. You never know with modern medicine. There was a time when Webb's injury would keep him out all of this year too. Instead he was only out for about half a year, most of that in an offseason.

Ugh, that really sucks. Not at all how I was thinking he'd miss 1,200 yds and 172 targets. Sorry for the guy.

Sad to hear and I was sad to hear when he got traded away.

Been putting up fantastic numbers with Bradford and the Rams.

Whatever you think about Mark Clayton, always a team player, never came out whining and a hard worker

Tbh, I was sorry to see Housh come in and Clayton released

That is crappy news. You never want to see an injury like that. I hope its not that bad.
