Overall AFC Predix
overall predictions for the AFC
NORTH
1) Ravens. This year or bust. still a little worried about CB (and RT)
2)*WC Bengals if they don't get enough catches Cinco and TO could cause a stinko.
3) Stoolers best players are a molester and a hair model
4) Browns don't see Holmgren/Mangini as a long term team.
EAST
1) Patriots flawed, but Belichek/Brady rule the roost until dethroned
2) Dolphins Parcells ball under the palm trees. good foundation so far.
3) Jets so much hype for a 500 team, however fun to follow
4) Bills no hope.
SOUTH
1) Colts another 11 wins and playoffs (yawn). overacheived last year?
2)*WC Titans Fisher/Young will win a lot of games. starting this year.
3) Texans 9-7, 8-8, whatever.
4) Jags these guys like to surprise you, but I think the shows over down there.
WEST
1) Chargers 11 wins, playoff flameout, so what else is new.
2) Raiders Al, Cable, Delhomme...lots of folks with something to prove
3) Broncos hard team to figure. 7 wins. whatever.
4) Chefs remodeling, reopening soon..."Nothing stops these Baltimore Ravens. Beat them, injure them, shove them to the bottom of the standings, drag them into a hostile environment and mount a big lead, and they just keep trudging forward like nothing fazes them." (Bleacher Report)

Re: Overall AFC Predix
I agree with pretty much everything you wrote, except for Houston.
I think they'll be good enough this year to challenge the Irsays for the division. I don't think they'll win it, but they'll come in 2nd. Tennessee doesn't look like much more than a .500 team.

What Beeracuda said.
Houston has some talent and Schaub was the number one QB last year in terms of yardage. They have Andre and now have a healthy Owen Daniels back.
Probably wont win the division but will give the Colts a run for the money -- possible a WC team.

I agree with Houston being third. Can someone spell running game? There QB is not Manning or Brady enough to will the team with no running game. Good squad though, but you can only pass so much.

Re: Overall AFC Predix
Houston seems to be a trendy pick among some, but I'm not sure they'll be any better than the Titans. They should have a good passing game though, so it might be interesting.
I agree that the Broncos will probably fall below .500. The Raiders will improve but not as much as a lot of people think, IMO. The Chargers should win the West easily, because the other teams will just not be that good.
I'm not sure if the Bengals will finish ahead of the Steelers, because the Bengals seem very unpredictable.
I agree that the Patriots will win the East, but the Jets and Dolphins are a tossup to me. I think the Jets are likely in for a disappointing season.

Re: Overall AFC Predix
The Saints as a team rushed for 6th best in 2009 when they won the bowl. (24th for one RB maybe?)
The Colts won in 2006 I think and were like 19th, but Manning is from Krypton anyway and cements that extraordinary QB play can only overturn a weak running game over the course of a season.
We all know that we cannot look at one RB to get that RB by committee yardage that so many teams now employ.
