Speculations On Roster Changes When Starters Come Back?
Just wanted to get other peoples opinions as to who will get released to make room for players like Cary Williams, Ed Reed, Ayanbadejo, and Lawrence.
I know Ayanbadejo and Lawrence are probably longshots to even return this year. But what about Williams and Reed.
My thoughts are Hamlin for Reed and from there who knows. I know anything can happen between now and then but what if no injuries occur? Is David Reed expendable, Divens, Phillips?
Just wanted some other opinions?
Hello to those that know me and to those who dont, just ask?

Re: Speculations On Roster Changes When Starters Come Back?
Hamlin for Reed is probably a lock at this point. Dunno who Cary Williams steps in for; we've got Washington/Webb/Wilson/Carr and now McCann, and I doubt they claimed him as a two-week experiment to be discarded later. So we look at the bubble in other positions. David Reed, now that he's more likely to slip through to the PS? The bigger question is, what happens when Kindle comes back? Burgess or Edgar Jones would appear to be most at risk there, perhaps Jason Phillips.
The fact of the matter is, we're carrying too many DLs and we'll need to make a move with one of them. For three spots we have nine players (Gregg, Ngata, Cody, Kruger, Redding, Divens, A.Jones, McKinney, Pryce). Sheer overkill, all based on the fact that the depth guys show a lot of promise and we don't want to give them away for nothing. But how do we get value for them? The best you'll get is a late-round pick.

Re: Speculations On Roster Changes When Starters Come Back?
I agree, Arthur Jones didnt stand out at all in game action, i was hoping he could be IR'd. I was a bit suprised Talavou was instead. Ayenbadejo status is interesting because if he can make it back he offers 2 things, pass coverage and ST and would certaintly be more valuable the Edgar Jones or Burgess. My guess would be Hamlin for Reed, Divens or Mckinney for Williams, Edgar Jones for Kindle, Burgess for Ayenbadejo and Lawrence probably placed on IR unless a running back gets hurt between now and then.

The first few off the roster, IMO, barring injury are Divens, Phillips and Edgar Jones.
By week 6-9 when we are talking about Reed, I think we will have injuries or someone underperforming by then. As for Cary Williams, my guess is Divens is traded shortly. Maybe McKinney.

Hamlin for Reed is probably a lock unless a S gets hurt.
Williams will probably be DL or LB, or DL gets IR'd from a rough practice, I believe Divens and McKinney both made the team last year and one both were IR's Divens early and then McKinney later. I am probably off on that a little but that usually goes down, to keep prospects. It appears some of the roster moves were made knowing guys will be expendable and waived, but after the waiver surge from the 53 cuts, so you have a better chance of signing your players to the PS.
