    OT: R.I.P. George Steinbrenner

George Steinbrenner, whose thirst for winning gained him infamy as Yankees owner not only for collecting titles but spending money and firing people, died Tuesday after suffering a massive heart attack at his Tampa home. He was 80 years old.

Yea, ESPN's doing huge coverage about Steinbrenner today. I bet when Angelos kicks the bucket, it'll be a tiny little blip between stories about LeBron or the Yankees.

While on 105.7, they'll be doing backflips.

In a way, it's hard to believe Steinbrenner was only 80. Seems like he's been around forever. I remember him and the whole Billy Martin business, which if I'm not mistaken was in the late 70's. At the time, the Orioles were actually overachieving, giving the Yankees tough competition in '77 & '78. It surprised most commentators at the time, since the Yanks had all the high-priced, big name free agents.

LOL at the Angelos remark but we'd only get his sons who are even worse.

RIP? Hell, I hope the devil is sticking that old pitch fork in his ass right
now, just like he has been doing to Irsay all these years.

    Steinbrenner ruined baseball.

Maybe the heir of the Yankees will allow a salary cap but I doubt it.

    SCREW EM ALL.

A-ROD missed yet another game with a groin pull and assortment of aches and pains from
apparently playing baseball. Just think what would go wrong playing football.

He took in a broadway musical with Cameron Diaz - DAMN YANKEES.

He got more pain with Diaz faked an orgazism later in the evening.
