Gotta love the love but is it the kiss of death

  2. Re: Gotta love the love but is it the kiss of death

Ain't no kiss of death. It's just that 31 teams don't win the Super Bowl every year. Jeremy Green of the Football Today podcast picked the last-place-in-their-division, 8-8 Saints to win the Super Bowl the following year. And he was right. But he was busted with cocaine and child porn two days ago, so never mind.

And the 8-8 1999 Ravens did exactly the same thing the following season.

Anyway, one would have to be either a total moron, or have some anti-Ravens bias to not see this team as championship caliber. This team has the potential to be just as good as any team in the NFL. All of the right pieces are in place, and now it's just up to the players and coaches to execute.

Looking at the Ravens' schedule, there's not one game there that I'm certain we'll lose. I'm certainly not saying we're going 16-0, because losses do occur for a variety of reasons. But we're just as good, if not better, than just about every team on our schedule.

Exactly, and since it is now a trend that the Ravens go to the playoffs and win, instead of getting snubbed and under rated, teh Ravens are getting hte kind of love the Patsies, Indy, SD and Pittsy always used to get. It is not above and beyond that level yet, but let the Ravens start out 5-0 or 6-0, #1 in O and D and there will be insane hype and hoopla.

I think the Ravens can and will handle it a lot better under Harbs than they did with Billick. The persoanlity difference and team first approach seems more suited to the favorite role than the underdog, no one respects type stuff that did work for a while with Billick off bad seasons, but never seemed to work out when coming off a good year.

I'm just ready for camp to start. I wanna see Ravens on a field. No kiss of death, the pieces are in place, time to show and prove.

Ditto on the PO wins. Bisciotti was getting tired of going every other year so he fired Billick and told Ozzie to spend what he had to get the weapons to do it every year.

He got his coach and then his QB and now he got his QB the weapons he needs.

Only things that can stop us from SB are injuries, Indy and the Refs.

My bet is we beat all 3. Bisciotti probably bought a couple of Refs too.

Worked for the Squealers in 2005/2006. That was the worst officiated SB game I have ever seen.

The NFL network did a top ten of worst calls of all time and this entire game made the list. If you ever want to hit a nerve of a steeler fan, mention this game and the word fix...
