If your Ozzie do you make this trade. I think I would.

He’s on record for wanting $20 mill per.
I’d still do it though. He’s 25.

Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

Odell + Joe's contract will really hurt the depth on the team. Not to mention the capital the Ravens would give up in the trade.
I imagine Beckham going to a team with a QB on a rookie deal and plenty of cap room.
As for the Ravens, they simply need to hit on a draft pick or two. That is their best chance to get a WR1, regardless of their draft history.

When I was 20, I really wanted a Datsun 280Z. I mean, I would drool over the ads or when I saw one close up. Instead I settled for a Datsun B210.
The former was flashy, fast, cool-looking ...and really, really expensive.
The latter wasn't any of those things. But I could afford it, and so it was an easy choice. Well, I ended up keeping it for many years. It wasn't a vehicle that really impressed either friends or strangers, but it was reliable transportation and today I have many fond memories of that ol' car.
Hmm. Dagnabit, I'm sure there was a point to all of the above, but now I've forgot ...wait, wait, now I remember! Odell is the flashy, temperamental sports car we can't afford. We'll have to settle for the B210's of the receiving world instead.

A team with a QB on a rookie contract is the only scenario that makes sense. By the time you pay your QB you get rid of Beckham. The Browns, Bills and Jets all make sense. Those teams could also use some star power which helps offset the monetary cost.
I would love to have OBJ in Baltimore but you can't pay him with a $24 million cap number for Flacco, a $16 million cap number for Jimmy Smith, a $14 million cap number for Brandon Williams and a $11 million cap number for Tony Jefferson. There's just no room

How all in are the Ravens? You could do the contract. Five years with big cap numbers years four and five. Joes cap number will be gone by then and they would be working with a rookie qb contract then. Contract will be 100 million with incentives that could take it higher. Have to make him invested in big numbers to earn big numbers.
A lot of this team will be gone in two years alone. Suggs, Weedle, Smith. That’s 15-20 mil there alone. Maybe Joe as well which is another 20+ mil in cap space. It comes down to the draft pick(s) traded. A 1 this year and a 2 next year will be the asking price. Then you have to get a contract done. Might get permission from the Giants to do that before the trade. I would or not make the trade without a contract agreement in advance.
