Re: 24x7 Responds to Reed's ill advised comment
Tony, couldn't have been said better. I think Ed is falling into the trap like a lot of fans who have said AD must be resigned at any cost. Everyone is putting emotions into this rather than thinking about the long term. The cost of resigning AD would have long term inplications on this team. Also, Bart Scott will be up in 2 more years since his deal was only 3 years. Remember: Right player, right price.
This is shocking coming from Reed because he's been the kind of player who just plays & let's his playing do his talking for him.

Re: 24x7 Responds to Reed's ill advised comment
Ed Reed is just a kid. I **hate** to see players talk about the coaching, but really, when they talk about the front office who cares. Especially the young ones.
AD & Ed are probably friends, and anything that makes the defense better makes Reed better, so I completely understand his subjective opinion. Should he have said something? No. But when he starts talking about the FO I care about as much as when my kids tell me how to pay the bills.
On balance I am more pleased with him for his 2 Pro Bowl picks then I am displeased with his chattering about the front office plus the Colt hat incident combined.

His definitions and arguments were so clear in his own mind that he was unable to understand how any reasonable person could honestly differ with him.

Nice article Tony. I agree totally about the cap......chill people...but the comments that Ed was quoted as saying....boy oh boy.....what a pigheaded thing to say about your employer, one, and such a well respected organization as the Ravens. I truly hope he was misquoted but I just dont see it. What a fool!

Re: 24x7 Responds to Reed's ill advised comment
Reed owes one of his picks to play design from an unexpected source.
Tiki's farewell touchdown came on a 1-yard second-quarter run. His lone disappointment was throwing an interception to the Ravens' Ed Reed on a first-quarter, halfback option pass designed by singer Jimmy Buffett when NFC coach Sean Payton was out on Buffett's boat a few days before Super Bowl XLI in Miami.

"Parrot Fin Right," as it's known in the playbook.
