Re: Expectations too high?!?!?!?
As Billick said during the Bears game, last year our defense was very dominating. This year it is very good. That is a big difference, and we still have a shot at the playoffs.

Re: Expectations too high?!?!?!?
what ever anyone expected doesnt really matter. the fact remains that we win next week we are where we need to be and thats in the playoffs and once we are in anything can happen. I expected the ravens to go deep in the playoffs and that can still happen.

+1 with Duke. most of our losses we could say 'one play'. of course the win over San Diego was one play away from a loss.
I think Cam etc figured everybody would load up and stop our run game and committed to the pass, or at least more balance. (no coincidence Heap has had more numbers this year).
among the many ifs; just look at yesterday. if Gaither is in, if Webb plays, if one Raven penalty gets ignored, if one Stooler penalty gets called...
Suggs has definitely disappointed. Reed apparently freelanced too much. Maybe Mattison did get outmanouvered a few times.
of our 7 losses we lost 6 to playoff teams and the one to Stoolers.
next year we get the injured back, JFlacc has another year under him, Webb and Gaither are healthy...already looking forward to it.
we were SO CLOSE, so often, this year."Nothing stops these Baltimore Ravens. Beat them, injure them, shove them to the bottom of the standings, drag them into a hostile environment and mount a big lead, and they just keep trudging forward like nothing fazes them." (Bleacher Report)
