Because the play was over. Carr had been out of bounds for like 4 or 5 steps. No need to continue blocking when the play is over.

2nd and 8, Rice BULLS forward going left for 9-10 yards. NICE RUN.

1st from the 32, Rice slides left, tries to cut back, and loses 1. At best, no gain. Harrison all over him.
