Re: I'm proud of this team...
It could be a lot worse. I would still not trade places with the Bengals or Chargers. We could have started off like the Dolphins and Titans or be falling apart like the Broncos and Jets.
The schedule was supoosed to be softer than last year at least, but it turned out to be a lot tougher in the front. KC and SD were better wins than they looked like at the time, and the Ravens did play pretty well even in all of the losses. There have been no complete breakdown games like Indy and at NYG last year.
The penalties, missed kicks, turnovers and key injuries mostly come down to perception, reputation and luck not lack of pluck and determintation or bad coaching.
If we beat the Seelers this week (and we will), I really like our chances to win out the rest of the way(@65-75%). From an injury and depth standpoint, the Ravens are in much better shape than most of the comp, and in way better shape than last year at this time. Also as a top 10-15 O and D, that does not give up punt or kick returns, the Ravens should be a serious contender to win anytime they play vs any other NFL team no matter what they got or where. It is not like the Ravens are a one sided team that can not do any particualr thing that a team needs to be able to do, they just need to find a way to do it a little more consitantly, especially when the scheudle gets as hard as it was over the last 6 weeks (not until the playoffs).
