Here is ANOTHER front page, A1, top of the fold article on the topic.

Re: Climate Change..Case closed
Nobody is saying it is as warm as in the past. What past are you referring to anyways? Prehistoric times? 10,000 years ago???? That statement is far too vague to even comment upon.
Your claims of what MIGHT happen didn't when the earth was warmer before.
The facts are the earth florished under much warmer conditions and your assertations and those of scientists on something that is MOSTLY natural is crap.

There is Dr. S. Fred Singer, who set up the American weather satellite system, and who published some years ago a book titled "Hot Talk, Cold Science." More recently, he has co-authored another book on the subject, "Unstoppable Global Warming: Every 1500 Years."
Frankly, this whole "CRISIS" is a sham.

Re: Climate Change..Case closed
Yeah, we all know that temperature readings from 75 to 100+ years ago were so accurate.
And that scientist never fudge reports to help their own beliefs. :insane:I BLEED RAVEN PURPLE!!!

Re: Climate Change..Case closed
What is accurate enough to tell cycles is ice cores from Antartica and Greenland, and those ice cores show that the earth has warmed and cooled in 1500 year cycles forever. This is the start of an upswing of a warming period. It will continue for a while, probably 300-400 more years, regardless of what we do.
Again, at the end of the last warming period when the earth's ice had shrunk as much as it could in the last cycle the now ice covered island known as GREENland was farmed by the Vikings.
The global warmers have no answer for this and thus we get no response to this fact.

Re: Climate Change..Case closed
Is that what you meant, Greg? My geology teacher explained it to us in college. The earth's climate is roughly a SIN wave. When it warms, it warms quickly, always has, always will Now, could we be adding a little tiny bit to it, sure, but man maybe contributes 1-2% of the change.Last edited by jonboy79; 02-18-2007 at 01:15 PM. Re: Climate Change..Case closed
While that is a very long term outlook, in the shorter 1500 year cycles the earth warms and cools in direct correlation with the sun's cycles. And what your chart shows is that while the current contention is the CO2 causes the warmer temperatures it just might be the warmer temperatures allow for more CO2 in the atmosphere.
Any scientist that says global warming is caused by elevated CO2 levels and that man is the greatest cause of global warming is full of shit.

Since his head has little brain matter most of the space is occupied by air. As the climate heats up his head is expanding, which is really his motive for trying to stop it.

Using the term "Case closed" is almost never a good idea.
You don't get more Libertarian than Yours Truly. A liberal, I ain't. Yet to flatly deny the strong possibility of 'Global Warming' (fuck that PC 'climate change' garbage) strikes me as reverse Chicken Little-ism.
