I was thinking one week I would write an article that would rank the "5 most significant things I learned from the statistics". Probably 60% of the time I write about something because I observe a statistic then use that to reobserve something in the game.

I'd read that article with interest. ;-)

If you asked me to synthesize the block of data on pass rushing this week to a sentence I'd say: "Unlike the Denver game, where the Ravens never rushed more than 5, but got good pressure, Mattison attempted to get pressure with numbers (6 rushes of 6+ men) rather than deception."

Yeah, that's interesting. I also thought the Indy game showed a step forward for the defense, Anecdotally, they looked more like "the Ravens defense", than they have at any other point this season.
