Blind Side movie trip
Might be from left field, but would anyone be interested in going to see the blind side as as group?
Not sure when (or even if) it's going to be released in the UK
As Ravens fans we should at least wear our shirts to see the film locally!!

Re: Blind Side movie trip
No, in the film he ends up getting drafted by the Cowboys as Hollywood didn't consider the Ravens recognisable enough. He also gets sent back in time by the government where he hunts down and destroys Hitler and Nazis before they wage war on Europe, saving millions of lives in the process, before returning and saving Sandra Bullock from a speeding bus with a bomb on board.
Not really.

I had a look at the Warner Brothers website there. They are the distributors
They haven't set a UK/Ireland release date yet
Can't wait to see it! And will be wearing the Ravens jersey of course.

Re: Blind Side movie trip
The UK release date is March 12th. :ww:
No doubt someone has seen it get two Oscar nominations and thought that they'd shove it out to us.
Perhaps like that disgraceful Brit version of MEAN MACHINE we'll get a remake - 'cos we don't understand American Football !!! :grbac:
I wonder who would appear in the British version? Wayne Rooney?"We ain't stinking Redskins fans in this Town sonny!"

Best actress for Sandra 'SB' Bullock - for a film not released in the UK!
Nor mentioned as a candidate in the UK press!

Re: Blind Side movie trip
You don't know suffering until you sit through the Americanized baseball version of Fever Pitch.
So the British media didn't even mention the Sandra Bullock was nominated for an Oscar, huh? Heh. Although it doesn't at all surprise that they hadn't intended to distribute The Blind Side outside the U.S.

Re: Blind Side movie trip
They are going to release it in a couple of weeks. I'm not sure if they would have if it had not done so well.
Sports realted films can be hard enough on their own. The worst films are the 'Atlantic crossovers'. The shining example is Vinnie Jones in the 'soccer' version of Mean Machine - what a f&*king joke!"We ain't stinking Redskins fans in this Town sonny!"

Re: Blind Side movie trip
Probably off to watch this on Wednesday with a few guys from team-mates from the Devils. Probably one of the few situations I'd make the effort to watch the film. Sandra Bullock, Oscar winner, right...............
