Re: Who is NOT Playing Like A Raven?
I think I have to agree with you on Foxworth, he hasn't looked that bad, due to the lack of pass rush and the illegal contact on 85 was either push off or fall down and get burnt. kind of ticky tacky call on 15 but he was there even though he stoped and didn't make the tackle. He is going to give up some plays regardless, i think Fox comes around.
Reed has been out of position on some plays, but watch how Landry sets him up for failure on most of those plays by dropping his WR to earlier or when he shoulded drop him at all.Last edited by Sua Sponte; 10-14-2009 at 09:46 AM.

Cam takes the approach that he will take what the D gives you, rather than adopt a smash mouth attack. I personally believe he should adopt the latter, and throw OFF PlayAction. Make the other teams adjust to us.

Re: Who is NOT Playing Like A Raven?
I like Offense, and the 1st 3 weeks the O spread the ball and moved up and down the field at will, but they also still ran the ball, and when in the red zone Willis came in and scored almost everytime, but the last 2 games except for 1 play at NE (TD) and Willis was on the sideline, and we were throwing INT's. What ever happened to scoring 3 and settle for a FG if you don't get in. The point is the O has looked soft the last 2 weeks (even though they played Ok against NE), I mean how many times did we go 3 and out on Sunday, back to back to back, etc. If we are going 3 and out atleast make the opposing D make the plays to make you go 3 and out and wear them down, not by throwing inc. passes. The biggest clutch man (at WR)so far has been Washington but he has disappeared the past 2 games and not because he just didn't make plays, he just wasn't on the field and the the play calling. Cam "Take what the D gives you" well last year we just flat out took regardless with the run game, the D knew we were coming but we came anyway. The Pass to Run split for the past 2 games is something like 85 - 35.
Pass happy.
Get back to running the ball
Rice is averaging 6+ yards a carry.

Re: Who is NOT Playing Like A Raven?
My .02 on Cams playcalling is this; I read on a few stories / threads etc talking about Cincis D plan was to stop the run and deep pass. So Cam planned for dink and dunk short passes etc...
My thought on that is - WHAT THE @$%^# MAKES YOU THINK THEO NEEDS TO GAMEPLAN AROUND THEIR D?!? No, with the weapons we have in the backfield, the overall strength of the Oline and Flacco's arm make the D gameplan around you. Not the other way around.
I know a couple of the early games were against powder puff teams, but up until the cinci game it at least looked like the O was going out there planning on doing what it wanted to get down field and score points. None of this 'well, they don't want us to run or throw deep so let's try little things mid-field' bullsh!t.
Yes, to properly gameplan yopu have to know what the opposing D is good at and where their playmakers are going ot be. But you can't close 75% of your playbook because you are afraid of what their D wants to do to stop you. Make them try to stop you.

Re: Who is NOT Playing Like A Raven?
Does any else think that Cam=Matt Cavanaugh the past two games?
Carr and Landry both look lost out there and Foxworth falls down almost every play.
Lets get back to Ravens football with the 3-headed monster and some complex blitz schemes!! C'MON MAN!!!

It's funny I can name only 1 offensive player and 5 defensive starters.
