    Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Patriots

Yeah, we aren't out of it, but we have pretty much beaten ourselves so far.

    Carr gave them 3 points.

The DL needs to realize that Winter is back there and goes overboard quite a bit on the roughing QB calls...that is something they should have been aware of as soon as the ref crew was announced.

Even if ticky tack...don't come down with your arm/hand down on the QBwhen it is near the head. And it kinda looked like Suggs could have tried to avoid the knees a little even though he barely grazed him.

Joe has been off quite a bit...don't know what happened on that underthrow to Mason when he was behind the secondary on that Merriweather deflection...and that last INT was killer. You don't throw that in that situation, we could have at least taken this down to a one score game.

Now the Pats get the ball to start the half...the D has to rise up and stop them early to give us good field position.

Just little things you absolutely have to take into account in the game.

This team has the heart to come back. And the way we moved the ball on those 2 big drives I feel pretty good about our chances. Now we just need to play a good second half and it's a winnable game.

And I agree, this team has the heart and ability to come back, but they need to take a look at themselves and start playing with their heads on.

Both Patriot's drives were kept alive by roughing the passer penalties. Both penalties were questionable at best.

The refs want the Pats to win. That's obvious.

Where is that big time offense we have come to know & love? This team needs to wake up @ halftime. & the Pats get the ball to start the 2nd half, need a big stand by the D to start the 3rd qtr!!

I desperately want us to win this game, but this looks all too familiar.
Yeah, people are bitching about the refs, but the rules are the rules.

We see it EVERY game, EVERY year for the past 4 years or so...you cannot touch the QB's head no matter how minor. We learned that last year against the Titans.

And they made it clear, that you cannot dive at the QB's legs, and while Suggs was blcoked, he took a good 3 or 4 steps before lounging at Brady's legs.

Guys, the rules are the rules no matter how much we bitch about it.

I don't see this as the refs screwing us at all. A lot of you are whining about things we see in every game in the NFL.

The offense has moved the ball very well. They just need to make sure Oher is solid there and be ready for this blitz.

The refs gave them 7 points and Carr gave them 3.

There is your difference in the ball game right now.

Will Nantz & Simms ever get it right? It's not pronounced Nata!

1st, complete to Welker for 4.
2nd and 6, stretch to Morris loses 3-4. Ngata blew that play up.
3rd and 10, Brady overthrows Welker. Flag down. Illegal contact on Carr.
