Re: Our new Arena League Team: Baltimore Blackbirds
Tailgating isn't realistic, but there are a few bars along Pratt Street that should be in play.
I haven't been to the old Civic Center in nearly twenty years. I used to attend Bullets & Blast games there. But night time events in the City in the Winter are a turn-off.
I really hope this venture succeeds.

Down? That's a twist ... shouln't it be "I'm up"?Last edited by Mista T; 01-24-2007 at 07:21 PM.
In a 2003 BBC poll that asked Brits to name the "Greatest American Ever", Mr. T came in fourth, behind ML King (3rd), Abe Lincoln (2nd) and Homer Simpson (1st).

Re: Our new Arena League Team: Baltimore Blackbirds
i've been in the arena to see the blast last year and it was horrible. I think we should get a new arena to accomdate a new minor league hockey team and college basketball events (i.e. NCAA Tourney)

Re: Our new Arena League Team: Baltimore Blackbirds
i had heard of talks of tearing it down, but they were going to replace it with on about the same size. Which by the way is to small for NHL and NBA standards. So it would be pointless imo if thats what they end up doing

Re: Our new Arena League Team: Baltimore Blackbirds
The city needs to build a new arena to gain back a lot of the money that is going to Philly and DC for sports and concert venues. It's a no brainer yet they think the junk that is the First Mariner Arena will still bring in people.
As for the Blackbirds, I did receive an email from them today and was told that I'll hear something in two weeks regarding tickets.Pffffff! I trust wikipedia more than the NFL. If anyone would know football, it is clearly wikipedia.
