Week 2 game, anyone here going?
Hey guys,
The Wife(tm) and I are planning on going to the chargers game. Looking at tickets available (wondering if anyone knoes where more Ravens fans may sit), and to see if anyone knows any good - Raven friendly bars in the area to have one or six before the game.
Let me know, my crippled ass wouldn't stand much of a chance if I walked into the wrong pub.
And I hope we beat the ever livin crap outta them in week 2 - the game some are thingking will our first real test! :happyanim :ww:Keeping the purple flowing way out on the West Coast!

I was there the other year....there is nothing around that stadium other than mountains. It is not like Tenn or here. You will have to go to a bar first then taxi in.

I'm there, bro. There's a Dave and Busters less than a mile and a half from Qualcomm, but you'd probably be better off bringing your own brew and enjoying it in the parking lot with the group of Ravens fans you are bound to find tailgating.

Re: Week 2 game, anyone here going?
Yeah, I feel a cooler and a few growlers may be in order.
Do you get decent tickets for a decent price?
To be honest it had been a long time since we have actually been to a game. The last one we were not watching from the local pub was when JLew ran for the record against the Clowns.
We were going to go last time the Ravens went to SD but the game was scheduled the same week out baby was due - I kept telling Thew Wife it would be cool to give birth at a game but she didn't buy it. Go figure.
True, but for south southern Ca it is about as mountainous as it gets
Perhaps as we get closer I'll shoot some of ya my cell phone number, we'd love to be around other Ravens fans - it has been too damn long - actually we are very tempted to move back to Baltimore - and the Ravens is a main driving factor for that (not sure if that is good, bad or just scary, but it is true)Keeping the purple flowing way out on the West Coast!

Re: Week 2 game, anyone here going?
I was really hoping this game would be later in the year.
O well, I'll be at enough roadies but San Diego is by far the best destination on the schedule this year.

Re: Week 2 game, anyone here going?
We had initially circled San Diego, one of the better road trip destinations despite their dump stadium in the middle of nowhere. But, honestly, the weather here will be the same, so a big part of the motivation to go there is gone. We'll do Foxboro instead, where it should be closer to football weather in NE in late September. Save the West Coast trip for Oakland in January. In a 2003 BBC poll that asked Brits to name the "Greatest American Ever", Mr. T came in fourth, behind ML King (3rd), Abe Lincoln (2nd) and Homer Simpson (1st).
