As the economy is showing improvement in virtually every indicator right now, stimulus is working and we are making gains in afghanistan, this lobby-induced republican false outrage will begin to look really really silly in several months.

The real issue here is....Have these people read the bill? Are they savvy enough to know what they read even if they had? The answer undoubtedly is no, and no. So... where are they getting this angst, anger from? You guessed it! From those bastions of truth, the right wing radio talk show hosts... Whose only real concern is their ratings, and how much they will make from their radio shows.... which has nothing to do with factual information, instead having to do with how they can skew the facts to make them a bigger paycheck! Most of those pictures you posted are probably democrats interested in learning about the healthcare debate. Just because some insurance stooge photoshopped some misplaced labels on them doesn't prove a thing. Hopefully you understand that??? Maybe not.

Your response is really, with all due respect. a PERFECT example of how easily some people are swayed in this debate and how little it takes to convince someone that Obama is a NAZI and wants to give all senior citizens cyanide tabs.

Its sad that as a nation,that leaves close to 50 million of its citizens w/o health insurance and just this week the five top health insurance companies reported a total of 8 BILLION in profits, there are so many people who can't find the compassion nor the insight that healthcare reform is a GOOD thing and instead disrupt those who want to find a healthy compromise in the debate and push through at least some level of reform.

In watching your video (which I actually did befer criticizing it) it loks to me like the SEIU was actually the guy knocked down and kicked on the ground. You might want to watch it yourself.

Really? 50 million? Who does Medicare cover? Who does Medicaid cover? The VA? The Gov can't run Medicare/Medicaid properly yet they'll do a wonderful job now?

Name calling is silly, but I an not worried about being called names. Would not be the first time, and I am darn sure it would not be the last time.

Mob mentality is equally as silly. Sure, I have been in some heated discussions on here (football forums), and just like at this "town hall meeting" it has not really accomplished anything, other than open the window for more rousing.

This is the American way. Like it or not. He who yells the loudest, wins. No points have to be made, and no civil discussions have to take place. I am sure in that loud ruckus at the meeting, people were shouting out what the believe are valid points, but in the end, no one heard it, and if they did, no one other than the person(s) shouting cared.

Cardin was just on the news and he said he liked the exchange in his town hall today.

He got some spirited questions and was able to answer them.

I liked him. I always liked Cardin, not his politics but as a man and person.

Well sure, spirited is fine and productive when the issues are permitted to be addressed and when questions are permitted to be answered, as was the case with the Cardin town hall. The Castor meeting was a lesson on how to accomplish nothing. One thing I have learned in my 34-years is this: If it were so easy for people to sit down and have a civil discussion, the world would not be in the state it currently is. TRAP and Galen are destined to do this dance (Just an example using TRAP and Galen... not an intentional shot) for a long time to come.
