Out of desperation and years of failed policies, the GOP releases THE MOB

Great ad from the DNC. Its nice to see the Dems not afraid of calling a spade a spade. The disorganized and flailing GOP with nothing to offer the country is now ressorting to sending out the mobs with their pitchforks. How sad our two party system has become.

Except the lobbys are paying to organize these astroturfed MOBS with republican staffers. They are not about free assembly, they are about big corporate money ie.. insurance, pharmaceutical, trying to look grassroots and protecting their interests in making million dollar bonuses off of your healthcare. How do you not see this? They have been exposed.

The republicans are party for corporate greed which nearly bankrupted this country. Luckily the Obama bull market is gainning its momentum and the rethuglicans can do nothing but send out their nutjobs to ralllies which at this point is really starting to make them look silly.

How about when the DEMs contracted the real MOB to murder someone.

At least this MOB didnt murder anyone. They were practicing their constitutional right for freedom of assembly. That is part of the constitution Galen, which the DEMs are trying to take away - just like they tried to off Castro.

Once again, the DNC attacks anyone who questions their policies. Just like Stalin.

No, the DNC is desperate with another attack.

You should have been embarrassed by this video. Shows how many don't want to pay for national health care.

    Thanks Gal.
Talking about mixing apples and oranges.... comparing the hiring of the mob to attempt to murder a leader of a country who threatens to annihilate our country to the hiring of rabble-rousers... to disrupt and discredit the president........Great Trap, shows your complete lack of comprehension, once again!!!

    LOL.

Left wing activists = Citizen voicing their opinion.

Right wing activists = Organized mob.

The left is projecting again. They organize these kind of things all of the time. Right wingers don't organize politically, it is one of the reasons for the left's success in politics. It certainly isn't that their ideas are superior. Nobody really wants the state making all of these decisions.

    riiiiiiiight.

Here's a fun example of astroturfing in its purest form: A woman attending a town hall event for Rep. Steve Kagen (D-WI), and--while loudly raising objections to the Democrats' health care reform proposal--insisting she's just a regular concerned citizen. Except, she's actually a GOP official.

Heather Blish was vice-chairman of the Kewaunee County GOP until 2008, and, according to her own resume, is affiliated with the Republican National Committee.

    http://www.nbc26.com/global/category...autoStart=true

Just about every town hall meeting has an example just like this. And if they are not being bussed in by insurance companies, they are senior citizens who, like jonboy, believe they will be getting their cyanide pills as soon as they are eligible for medicare

    As Paul Krugman says,

[I"]some of them, with no apparent sense of irony, shouting “This is America!” — have been drowning out, and in some cases threatening, members of Congress trying to talk about health reform."[/I]

examples of congressmen shouted down, congressmen hanged in effigy, congressmen surrounded and followed by taunting crowds.

And this statement is as ubiquitos in this debate as insurance companies bussing in wingnutz,

"There was a telling incident at a town hall held by Representative Gene Green, D-Tex. An activist turned to his fellow attendees and asked if they “oppose any form of socialized or government-run health care.” Nearly all did. Then Representative Green asked how many of those present were on Medicare. Almost half raised their hands."

The only constituency left for the GOP is the old, white, less than mainstream individual that will cry out about socialized medicine being the coming of the 4th Reich but in the same breath tell Obama not to touch his medicare!

Its a joke. Yes the GOP has controlled the message appealing to fear and superstition quite like the with the war in Iraq. Just like the insanity of that war was exposed, so will the insanity of the current GOP in due time. We are patient.

You bring up a great point with Medicare/Medicaid? Aren't we told over and over that is on a collision course with underfunded failure within a decade or so?
If they can't effectively run a program to cover the currently needy, how do they plan on implementing a system on a much larger scale?
