Pretty much everyone who has a leg to stand on at this point agrees that the economy has in fact turned around. Are we out of the recession? Of course not...that won't be the case until jobs are added for at least a couple periods. The Obama admin has stabilized the economy though and it is no longer in the "W" freefall. The stimulus is working.

Healthcare will be passed is just a matter of how much reform. Obama will take what he can get and declare a victory. Most of the outcry will come from the left as the reform will not be as progressive as it needs to be.

Obama is playing chess and has been since the early days of the campaign.

Tell that to the 15M Americans out of work, especially all those in the Mid West that cant eat. I posted links with trucks dropping millions of dollars worth of food off to them.

You failed to read the unemployment figures for July. Another 600,000 people laid off and that doesnt count the firms that reduced to 30 hr work weeks which is something like 70% of the country.

That missed day is an un-paid day for the workers.

On top of all that, the worse hasnt even happened yet.

Wait to inflation hits the streets from the $2T deficit.

I posted a thread last week where DEMs said they will have to raise middle class taxes to pay it.

That will sink us even deeper.

The Defecit isn't even the worst that will be causing horrific inflation, it's the $2T they printed one week to pay for it. They just paid it out of thin air, and expected no consequence. Wait until we get the one world currency Oby wants, and the Chineese bring out Trillions of our dollars and instantly they are worth nothing.
