Ravens Roster Moves – REVISED*

*The Ravens have traded rookie LB/DE Ryan LaCasse to the Indianapolis Colts for an undisclosed draft pick. LaCasse, Baltimore’s 7th-round draft choice (219th overall) out of Syracuse in 2006, was not released by the team, as reported in the previous media advisory.

Yeah, atleast the Ravens pick up a draft pick with the move. Too bad the pick won't be better than a 7th.

So, we got another 7th round draft pick next year. I can't see us getting any higher than that. That drafted player probably won't make our team either.

That must be an error, or they have no clue. LaCasse was our 2006 7th round draft pick. Why would we trade a player and our draft pick for a draft pick?

edit: Nevermind. Back to lurking....

Since the 2006 draft was already held, this doesn't make sense. I think it's just a typo. The "and" should have just been a comma.

It means he is a DE from Syracuse and (he was) our 7th round pick in the 2006 draft. Read it again and it makes sense. Get it?

We did not trade the 7th round pick in the 2006 draft. Ryan LaCasse was the 7th round pick in the 2006 draft. Only the Orioles are dumb enough to acquire a pick from a draft that already took place. :insane:
