I do not think there was ever a chance we were going to pay a vet LB to come in even before we drafted Phillips. We had Gooden, have Ayanbedjo, Jameel McClain, Prescott Burgess and maybe even Barnes could slide inside.
They never would have cut Greison when they did if they felt any sort of need at ILB, and unless Ray goes down I doubt we grab any vets there.

The Ravens have proven they have plenty of depth at that position as is. The "next man up" mentality has been fruitful so far.
