    2009 Baltimore Trip

Looks as if the Denver game - in the weekend at the end of October / start of November is the current game of choice. Please bear this in mind.

Both Gordon and I are 90% set on the Denver game.

If anyone else is serious about going this year as a group we'll need to know soon if there are real problems with this date as Gordon has to book time off work asap.

If no-one else is able to go, we may make alternate flight arrangements.

Oh yes! Let me know when you're confirmed and I'll order the celery.

Obviously I am at your service if help is required with obtaining tickets, sorting out accommodation, providing complimentary guided tours of Fell's Point bars, etc.

All I'm waiting on now is a change of department in work before I swap holidays. With me starting working towards the managment side of things they seem pretty keen to get me somewhere I can learn a bit more - and earn slightly extra cash too. So as soon as that goes down I'll get holidays sorted. I'm excited about the prospect of coming over though. Desperate to be a part of the celery throwing!!

Thanks for the very kind offer of a place to crash Fells. I would dearly love to meet up with CJ again (and you of course). It's a long time away I know, but the propect of getting over for a game .

As for the Celery and Flags - what more can I say than go for it!!!!

Should get gordon on the Duck Tour - if it still runs in November?

    And lots of

Yeah, the Monday after the game was a bit weird on both times that I've been over. It's quite a long time in between the game and the flight home with only shopping to do.

There are plenty of historical bits to see - but it will be November !

You guys should go to Green Bay in December! See the NFL football Mecca in its glory in December!

A lovely suggestion, but remember Baltimore and M&T is our Mecca. Tailgating with you lot then watching the game

Some of the guys coming over will never have seen the Ravens play live.

Thanks guys, I hope we can all have a good time and meeting up on 'home turf' will be great. Obviously there is a long way to go yet - plant the celery now

    UPDATE TIME

Right, potential snag. Start the new job next week so have only been able to get a quick glance at holidays currently booked by other members of staff i.e. weeks which I can't book off. It appears that the Denver game is a no go. Someone already has that week off. The same someone who has both weeks off that I had down to take as my summer holiday before the switch. The November 22nd game at home to the Colts is a maybe possible, someone is booked off that week but she only works Monday to Thursday leaving the tail end of that week as hopefully available. The week after, November 29th, home to Pitt is completely free and would have no problems booking this one at all.

Any of these dates work with you at all Dave? Once I'm in my new department I may be able to convince somebody to swap holidays with me but at this point I have absolutely no idea.

Properly gutted if I can't go. I'd really got myself excited about making a trip this year and if I have to postpone it for another year I'll be distraught.

We'll have to take a long look at these options.

Both games are 'high profile' and close to Thanksgiving.

Could you go back to the person who has already booked and negotiate? Quite often people book with no real resoning just to use up holidays accrued.
