Dems ahead in NY-20

The congressional seat that opened as a result of Clinton leaving her senate seat was seen as a sure thing republican victory. So sure that Michael "Bling Bling" Steele when ahead weeks ago and called it a referendum against Obama and his economic policy.

Of course Bling Bling could be so cocky because Tedesco (R) had a 20 point lead in the polls over Murphy (D). This is a congressional district where Republicans have a 70,000 voter registration advantage over democrats...there was a total of 140,000 votes in the election.

2 weeks ago polls began to change as the public began to learn about the stimulus plan and suddenly Democrat Murphy was moving up in the polls. Soon thereafter Obama and Biden endorsed Murphy and Biden sent out Robo-calls. After all votes were counted last night Murphey had a 25 vote lead.

Steele has essentially doubled down on this election in a way to save his job and its seems the referendum is in favor of Obama and Obama's ecomomic plan. What was supposed to be the beginning of the republican comeback seems to have turned out to be another slap back to reality.

All in a time when Obama's popularity was supposedly waning??? or was that just more "right wingaganda"?

1. Obama's popularity continues to be around 2/3rds favorability.

2. The DOW has had its most successful month in quite a while.

3. Murphy beats Tedesco in what was once a sure thing in a strong Republican district. A strong referendum in favor of Obama and Obama's economic recovery strategy.

I won't even get into the rock star status of Obama in Europe. He's not just bringing much needed change to the USA but he is bringing it to the world. Pretty amazing stuff so far.

Too bad Europeans don't get a vote. Especially since most pf Europe feels like he is ruining the world economy.

Here's your challenge since your "m.o." is to write gross, uncited inaccuracies. Show me one link where it says that, "most pf Europe feels like he (Obama) is ruining the world economy".

One link from a European source. As fringe as Trap can be, I do give him credit for linking sources. You just throw out statements that have no factual basis.

One source. Not one that just says America is ruining the world economy or the Banks are ruining the world economy or that unbridled capitalism is ruining the world economy but instead Obama is ruining the world economy. good luck.

So the first paragraph clearly states that the rest of the leaders rushed to kiss America's ass becuase they need them. It doesn't say they fundamentally disagree.

The bank of Englad warned it's prime Minister that it can't afford it, but it plans to do it anyway. Sounds similar to here.

You caught me sensationalizing, what can I say. Yes I read it, all of it. You seem to act like this is a slam dunk great job by Obama, History and many others disagree. It's not only crazy wingnuts that think this will hurt the economy. All it takes is a basic understanding of history and economics to see that this is following in the wrong kind of footsteps. This explosion of spending is likely to burst worse then the credit bubble would have on it's own.

1st of all the title is "Dems ahead in NY" and that is exactly the case. G7 is not wrong.

2nd it is not Clinton's district...Hillary was a senator:bag: Trap is wrong.

3rd tedesco had a 20 point lead one month ago. The district has a 2-1 republican registration advantage. Trap has no idea about this and never evenheard about this race because he only listens to wingnutz trying to prove that Obama is a socialist. Trap is wrong.

Trap loses 0-3 but he won't see that because his reading comprehension problems will prohibit him from understanding my points. So he will come back and say I am becoming unhinged somehow and now resorting to calling him names. Luckily everyone else on this board will have experienced the same phenomenon with Trap and will understand. He will go on to say how he is kicking everyone butt and then something borderline psychotic about hearing people laughing at G7.

Seriously if Trap actually paid some attention to actual politics maybe he wouldn't make such silly comments. Other than that he is probably a good guy and reminds me a bit of my senile grandfather who took me to my first professional football game. That gives him some leeway but he will need to soon come up with a marginally sane comment here soon or else i give up.
