NY-20 Special Election - Steele's fate?

Tuesday March 31st is the special election for the NY-20 congressional seat. This is important and while not as sensationalistic as crying out about communist/fascists/Nazi/dicatator Obama or any other wingnuttia talking points like teleprompters or not putting the toilet seat down-like gaffes - it is a temperature reading on Obama's popularity as well as the decline of the republicans and quite possibly the head of Michael "Baby" Steele.

Tedesco-R held about a 20 point lead soon after Obama's inauguration and was seen as a sure thing. Even Michael Steele said this congressional election woud be the beginning of the renewal of the Republican brand. It was essentially his charge to win this seat and he was getting criticized for not paying attention to the race and instead trying to get all "jiggy with his bling bling". Anyway you might have noticed a disappearance of Steele lately as he went to work to ensure this seat for the Republicans. Many have said that Steele's job security will rest on this election.

Well, just 4 days until the special election, there are 3 polls showing Democrat Murphy essentially now tied with Tedesco and a NRCC poll showing Murphy ahead. Obama has stepped forward with an endorsement and money is now starting to flow to elect the dem.

This is a huge turn around and very indicative of Obama's popularity and the diminishing republican brand. If Murphy can gain over 20 points on Tedesco and steal a republican seat...wow. All the wingnuttia talk about Obama's popularity fading is really called into question with this election and Obama's and the democrats true popularity can not be disputed.

Murphy has essentially rode on the coat tails of Obama DURING the worst economic disaster of our time to possible election in a republican district. Amazing.

Michael Steele is obviously worried as he came out with maybe his nuttiest interview yet suggested that he played Rush like a chess game. Watch this and tell me this guy isn't seriously wacked:

This guy is seriously a narcissist if he thinks he is believable. How long until he apologizes to Rush now?

anyway...watch for the results on Tuesday. At one point this was a 20 point lead for Tedesco.
