Demetrius Has Won The 3rd WR Spot

Bobby Blizzard prevented what could have been a huge game for Williams. As for the other spots, 4 and 5, I'd give them to Darling and Romby Bryant. Billick, however, will give them to Darling and Moore.
    It's a new season! It's a new day!

What is hilarious is that a Redskins announcer said the following about Demetrius Williams..."Nice run by a guy who won't even make the team."

I still see Clarence Moore making this team. Romby Bryant isn't going to beat him out because he made one good catch.

My WR depth chart would be:
    Mason
    Clayton
    Williams
    Darling
    Moore

Yes,yes, yes Demetrius has to be the third WR. Sports Illustrated had a nice write up about him in the new issue. This guy can really help us open up this offense.

sorry, Moore makes this team over Bryant. Remember Moore had those TWO huge catches last week. Nothing this week, but did Bryant have any other catches in the preseason? no.

But yes, Demetrius won that spot tonight. Darling had a nice catch earlier, but Williams MADE HIS CATCHES HAPPEN!

He'll be the third. Hopefully Darling beats out Moore for #4.

Love his work ethic. YAC is impressive as well Also, he is humble after he gets in the endzone. What a novel concept. A Raven WR who blocks!. Clearly he has the most upside of the three Williams, Moore, Darling. Moore is so one demensional.

That was a BS call for holding. Moore will be #5....it's a toss-up on Darling/Williams at #3.

I agree that Moore will probably be our fifth WR, but he annoyed me last night with that total lack of effort on that long pass from Boller. Stockton immediately said that it was overthrown, and it was a little long, but Moore didn't even try to catch it. It was a bit overthrown but it didn't look uncatchable. Try to act like you want the ball, Moore.

I'm unsure who the number 3 will be, but my guess today is that it will be Williams.

I am real impressed with Demetrius. You could argue that, at this point, he has been our best 06 draft pick.

I think Williams should be the #3 now too. I thought it was going to be Darling before last night, but Williams impressed tremendously. He reminded me of a faster Nate Burleson or Anquan Boldin in the way he moves after the catch.

Either way we have 4 good WRs and one that can be good in certain situations. We've come a long way there.
''You'd love to go on the first day but I'm glad for the situation I'm in,'' he said. ''Baltimore knows how to play defense.''

Darling is right behind Williams, Moore is 5th. Darling only had one good catch but he showed the presence of mind to work back to McNair and give him a target once he broke the pocket. And that is where McNair has it on Boller, he is able to keep his eyes downfield when under pressure. Boller seems to be getting that this pre-season but with McNair when he comes out scrambling you can't assume he is going to run with it. He keeps looking for the open man until he is tackled or breaks the LOS.

I think we are in good shape at WR, really good shape at TE (though Quinn dropped one on Boller) and in good shape at QB. LOL, who would have thought. If our OL can find a way to pass block acceptably we will have a pretty damn good offense.

There were several times when McNair got rid of the ball at the right time to the right player. He made the oline look better then they are. He doesn't hold the ball longer then 3 to 3.5 seconds and its out. The only time he holds it longer is when he scrambles to an area to buy more time and then uncorks a pass in stride to a receiver.

I do like Boller's arm strength downfield. Its a major adjustment to a defense because now the defense has to defend deep and the 20 yard out.

With McNair its anywhere on the field within 20 yards. But when thrown in stride to a streaking WR it turns into a larger gain. Both QB's played well although Boller was just a little long and the timing was off on some of his passes deep. Boller is playing with confidence and no pressure. I like our 1-2 punch.
