Re: Bruuuuuuce
Somebody here at our local NBC station has some splainin' to do.
How in the hell can the NFL spend 10 years trying to get Springsteen to do this, finally get him to do it being broadcasted in HD, and it's cut into putting it in a small picture in picture box to show the lottery drawing?
Somebody here has their head up their ass IMO.Will Die A Ravens Fan!!

Re: Bruuuuuuce
WBAL and the MD Lottery have a contract in place that states that the Lottery has to be shown at specific times and LIVE. You can't just put a scroll across the screen saying here are the winning numbers. You have to have visual proof that the numbers listed are the numbers drawn.
As for Bruce...who gives a F. Dude is old, over-rated, and hasn't had anything good to say in over 20 years. Wish the Super Bowl would stop getting these old aging, "play it safe" musical acts and get something that the crowd really wants to see. But that's my opinion.Pffffff! I trust wikipedia more than the NFL. If anyone would know football, it is clearly wikipedia.

You cynical bastards!
Bruce is as American as porn and Mom's Apple Pie.
I'm a jazz and R&B guy myself, but still found myself rocking out to Bruce.

Re: Bruuuuuuce
I think Bruce was awesome, and it felt more like a concert and less like a "halftime show"

Re: Bruuuuuuce
Eh, it didn't do anything for me.
I really wish they would do away with the mosh pit BS, the fake fans with their lighters etc.
And what was with the gospel choir :grbac:

Re: Bruuuuuuce
I thought Bruce was very good. Great live performer still and looks pretty good for however old he must be now.
Agreed on that fucking lottery bullshit that pops up and interrupts fine TV moments. The state needs to seriously look into that agreement as it's not the first time it's screwed up my viewing pleasure, as the image on my screen gives way to a grinning, gormless woman twisting the balls that pop out of the $9.99 lotto machine.
Anyway, my favorite part of Bruce's performance was when he slid crotch-first into the cameraman.

The halftime show was okay, just not my type of music.

Re: Bruuuuuuce
I've always liked Springsteen. I haven't been wild about his music but there are a handful of songs that are quite good.
He gave a really spirited performance last night and the band was tight.
I wish he would have just kinda changed up the arrangements a little. For example Clarence Clemons played the exact sax solos that I've heard soooo many times on record. C'mon Clarence if we wanted a recording we could just popped in a CD!

Fells Point Raven writes, 'to a grinning, gormless woman twisting the balls."
Sounds a awful lot like the ex-wife.
