I am glad to see this getting done. I am a huge O's fan still but I HATE Angelos.

Didn't see anywhere saying it was finalized. Says they are "close." Good news indeed, but way to try and jinx it by calling it a done deal.

The O's have some great young talent. We just need some pitching.

    Markakis
    Jones
    Guthrie
    Weiders

I want them to sign Brian Roberts and start spending some money on quality free agents. While I agree that they need to rebuild the farm system, the Orioles need to do something to attract fans in the seats and make the season somewhat tolerable, if not enjoyable.

Their PR is horrible. They should hold a state of the Orioles press conference and communicate with the fans better. Until they turn this franchise around, they are nothing but a carbon copy of the Cleveland Browns, perpetual losers. (We even share the color orange).

I think its best for the O's to trade Roberts now. He'll be 32 this year and we are at least 1 or 2 years away from contending. Trade him now for some more younger prospects while he has the high value.

The just trade Garrett Olsen for OF Felix Pie. Another younger, fast, prospect. We have a good OF for many years to come.
