Hating Hines Ward is fun. I can't think of anybody I like less than that PoS and hope every time he steps on the field it's his last.

Whilst I would love the Steelers taken apart big time, I can not condone targetting an individual player for anything other than what is within the rules of the game.

I was knocked out completely by a player from my blind side once - in what I later found out was a deliberate plan to take me out.

We all know Hines Ward needs a smack in the mouth, but a big LEGIT hit is what we should aim for.

In my (rugby) playing days I was not shy of a big of 'roughing up' and was on the end of a few shots myself. However, that is different to being 'targetting' and being hit off the ball. :girlfight

We should keep it hard but legal.

Fun or not. Moral or not.

Neither have anything to do with it.

It has everything to do with doing something that contradicts what the team is trying to accomplish in changing the image of the team.

If this team was trying to shed an image of being a bunch of pussies, would you do something to contradict their efforts? Of course you would not so why do it now?

I think it is funny how worried you are about how this team is perceived. Do you really think Harbaugh came in one day and said "hey guys some people think you are thugs we better try and change that image because we don't want the national media who we could give to shits about to think of us this way" Get real man, other teams fans look at us as thugs the same as we look at other teams the same way! This was a joke thread period, and on a side note I would rather be known as a team of hard hitting thugs than a pansy ass team. Now I got $20 on it!

Of course not and if you bothered to read what Harbs said and I repeated was he wanted to change the image of the team. That's a lot more complex then simply pandering (look it up) to the media.

I think you missed the point HR. This was a joke thread. I find it highly unlikely that the scenario would EVER come to fruition, where fans would put together a collection for a bounty, and then present the player who takes out Ward, a big Publishers Clearing House check.
