I think the 03 Bengal game was the coldest by far. It had snowed the friday before the game, none of the snow was removed in the aisles. My feet were sitting on a block of ice and the wind was just as bad as yesterday. Brutal.

I gotta go with the 2000 Denver playoff game as well. Lastnight was very cold thats for sure. Nothing like sneeking in small bottles of bailey's and kahlua for the hot coco. That kept me toasty.

I had thought that the Ravens have fairly consistently been a "cold weather team". The only seasons that I recall playing at a lower level in December than the earlier months were 2002 and 2004.

And you yankees are supposed to be used to that kind of weather.

-15 wind chill at noon on the last National Championship we won. If you go back and watch the game, I'm the purple-ish blob blocking the heater from everybody else.

I think Top 5 Coldest were the 05 Packers, 01 Vikes, 00 Broncos Playoff, 07 Pats, & Last Nite in no order.

I was at the Army/Navy game in 2000 (I think), and that was brutally cold.

Actually the coldest I was ever at a game was the 00 SD Playoff Clinching Game. It was about 34/35 with mist/rain.... I did not dress in waterproof warm clothing and boy did I pay for it. My jeans and sweatshirt got soaked. I was shivering so bad that I actually had to go into the bathroom for the whole third qtr just to try to stop my shaking.

Sounds like my last experience in Denver...the fun-filled fiasco in 2006 when it drizzled unexpectedly the whole game. I was soaked nearly 100% and nearly froze.

    Re: Coldest game?

The Bengals game a few years ago (I think it was '03) was about as cold as I've been at a game. It was actually, as I recall, a sunny day, but it was butt freezing cold.

Of course, last night was probably at least as bad, but I'm guessing since I wasn't actually there. I was cold just watching it from my sofa. But the important common element in those two games -- we won both of them. And everyone was on the Bengals bandwagon in '03, predicting they'd overtake us and win the division, and they got beaten down easily. That made the 17 degree temp or whatever it was worth it.

Last night was cold but the wind died down alot so wasnt as cold as i thought it be. I was fine, didnt even need my face mask that i usually wear when its really cold. The Green Bay game was colder i thought..also a night game, Broncos game was cold but was day game, so had the "warmth" of the sun! The vikings game was fine til the 3rd quarter....the wind picked up and it got real cold.

I mean when i got to my car after the game the temp gauge said 29....thats not cold.

I lost my toes by halftime and unlaced the boots and stuck hand warmers in them.

How about the last time we were in Denver in the cold and rain. I think you were at that game - as usual

There was also the game in the rain and cold up in Philly when Boller started and floundered and another cold game in Green Bay a few years ago.

Then there was the recent PO game vs the Colts here in the rain and it was cold - not like last night but it wasnt warm.

There were others too like the PO game vs Tenn here in 03. It was a night game and cold. We were cold during the taigates but it wasnt cold up in the club level. I think you sat up there too because it was too cold and you traded seats with someone so you could stay warm.

I remember a lot of complaints on this board that Billick practiced inside too much.

That was one of the first things Ozzie told HARB when he came here. So during the Mini Camps HARB made the team practice outside in the rain and in the cold during the season instead of inside.

    The results show.
Yeah, that 2006 Denver sleet/wind/cold as shit game sticks out in my mind as well as the 2005 away game at Pittsburgh that myself, Mista T and Fred Grau made the journey to... I almost pulled out my K-Bar and amputated both feet after that fiasco!!

Cold? It was 63 degrees at gametime - both times.

It was up there. I have been to every Ravens home game and they blur together but I think the Viking game, maybe the year after we won the Super Bowl was horrible as was the Patriots game last year. For us old timers, how many remember the last game the Colts played against Houston(I think), it was brutal cold and the stands were half empty. It was sad and Cold.

    Wink Re: Coldest game?

I'm still confused about this supposed cold weather jinx. I had never heard that we have one, and the numbers don't support it. It typically gets cold in December. For the past ten seasons, the Ravens' December-January record has been 31-18 -- 63%. The Ravens' September-November record has been 65-52 -- 56%. i.e. we have witnessed better play in the coldest months of the season.

We did once have a bad streak of night games in the rain, but, except for the Denver game mentioned by Camden Yard where several of us on this thread got soaked in the 34 degree rainstorm, none of those night games were particularly cold.

Anyone remember the "Ghost to the Post" game, Colts vs. Raiders in 1977? I was 10 but remember that game being atrociously cold and since it was double overtime it could have been the coldest for me.
