Re: Lot J to be shut down - converted to casino - threads merged
As to the cash lots: how can these small lots absorb 500 cars and 30+ busses and RVs? There's a reasonable likelihood that I'll have to give up tailgating in favor of Light Rail!

Alright, so when do we find out if we're screwed for the remainder of this year?
Regarding next year and beyond, I'm down for just about anywhere as long as it's not a major walk each way.
So who is gonna do the investigating?
I'd love to, but my days are spent on the road nowhere near a phone. Will Die A Ravens Fan!!

I would not be surprised in the least of the State sticks it to Bisciotti and the Ravens over something as simple as party affiliation and not offer a replacement lot.

Per Sylvia, we ae OK through the end of the season. Not sure re playoffs.
As to next season, I'm already working a search party to find a small to midsized lot to lease. Bankrolling it should not be hard b ecause of the number of people we can get to commit, but finding a decent property will be. It's going to be tough -- no way will we be able to match Lot J.
We really got fucked over. :(In a 2003 BBC poll that asked Brits to name the "Greatest American Ever", Mr. T came in fourth, behind ML King (3rd), Abe Lincoln (2nd) and Homer Simpson (1st).

Getting fucked is pretty much the norm when it comes to the little guy and stuff like this.
Like I said earlier, I'm good just about anywhere as long as it's not a mega walk to and from.
I can park a chair on an asphalt lot just as easy as a grassy plot, but the little bit of shade we get on the hot days will be missed.
I think we're in the beggers can't be choosy type situation right now though. Will Die A Ravens Fan!!

Re: Lot J
From what I heard if its put up to to a vote it has to be a part of the consitution. Since the state couldnt get it to pass themselves, to a vote it went.
Sorry to hear about you guys losing yout lot. And someone asked will they accomodate you?? There isnt any room down there to do that. I do have any idea for you all though, Call CBS radio (1300am) and see if they have any LOT O passes left, they were selling some this year. They are numbered spaces though, i do own 2 next to each other there that i sell each year to pay for my lot H pass.Season ticket holder since 1996 Section 148 Tailgate Lot H

Do you want me to check into the Sharp-Leadenhall school (across the street from Lot H where the vendors are) for next year? If so, how many spots would we need?

I am for slots but changing the state constitution to do it was a mistake and thus voted against it.
I agree that the location is totally bogus due to the added traffic nightmares during Raven and Oriole games. The stupity of those in charge amazes me, as does the people who keep putting them in power.
