Re: Lot J
Get a clue... What, do you live in a cave, eat dinner by candlelight, use a animal for transportation? This isn't the stone age my friend.
If someone wants to gamble their money away they have plenty of venues to do it, lottery, horse racing, bookies, internet, taking a short ride to one of neighboring states that have slots and a whole host of others. Not having slots won't stop gamblers from blowing their cash just like having slots won't make addicts out of anyone that doesn't already have a problem.
On another note you do know that Camden Yards/M&T was built by finances from gamblers, without that influx of cash the facilities wouldn't have been built nor would we have the Ravens so shovel you're moral high ground bull elsewhere, hypocrite.

:grbac:
How about a little thing called personal responsibility? Oh I bet someone with a true gambling problem would never do it if slots weren't in MD, right? It's not like they couldn't play the lottery or Keno here, or go to Pimlico or Laurel to bet on the ponies, or drive a short distance to West Virginia or PA, or even 3 hours to Atlantic City for full-casino gambling.
You guys who shovel your moral agenda down everyone's throats make me sick. I always knew your takes on football were idiotic, but now i see you're the same way on other topics too.

Re: Lot J
I don't play the lottery either.... I work to hard for my money...why do you people who want gambling keep attacking people who don't? I see it differently than you...can't you just respect my point of view and move on?:respect Truth hurts and you all need to attack someone to make yourselves feel better That's sad :(

From what I heard if its put up to to a vote it has to be a part of the consitution. Since the state couldnt get it to pass themselves, to a vote it went.
You can't stop capatalism for a tiny parking lot.
If they raze all of the old buildings there and we end up with more parking then fine, but as it stands now this is idiotic.
And it isn't capitalism when the government buys things, that is called socialism.
