Re: Baltimore Sports Talk Radio News
Well, the problem is that 1570 and 1370 will get beat out by 105.7 for a couple of reasons:
1) 1570 has no power. I can hardly get it except online.
2) 1370 has no real programming yet. Rome doesn't cut it against local programming. Sandusky is mediocre and boring to me. I do like that they grabbed Terry Ford though, I always liked him.
3) 105.7 is on FM.

Re: Baltimore Sports Talk Radio News
I have a hard time getting 1370 as well 1570. If WNST could broadcast a decent signal they would be a player in this market.
Since the switch I've found myself tuning in to 105.7 because I can actually hear it! Then when Marks starts to speak I immediately get annoyed and change the station.Last edited by FHRaven; 11-04-2008 at 01:49 PM.

Seriously I was listening to Drew Forrester this morning on NST and he was interviewing Flacco, it was terrible. Horrendous. Almost unbearable. I don't know what kind of dirt they have on Flacco to make him do those interviews every Tuesday, but I don't know how he can even stand it. It gets worse every week, today was especially bad.

Re: Baltimore Sports Talk Radio News
That said, does anyone know why Bruce Cunningham left WNST? Over the past year I got the impression that he and Aaron Wilson were no longer getting along very well.

Re: Baltimore Sports Talk Radio News
3 things:
1. 1370 needs a lot more local talk/programming. Coleman is way too DC oriented.
2. Terry Ford is awful now just like he was at WNST...go join the Fighting Ungers show.
3. I heard one reason Cunningham left was $$$...Nestor's wallet is tighter than a Catholic school girl.

Re: Baltimore Sports Talk Radio News
I'm a huge fan of Bruce Cunningham's Saturday football show and his new slot/location hasn't let me down, although I'd like to see more time dedicated to the Ravens.
Scott Garceau did wonders with the AM show. Those two on the same set the day I listened was like a nag in the stable with a thoroughbred. SG knows his craft, take the laptop away from Anita and she'd be even more clueless.

Yes, it is apparent that it's killing Garceau to have to work with this airhead.

Re: Baltimore Sports Talk Radio News
Scott has too much class for that. I have noticed that even this week Jeremy Caan seemed to talk more than she did. I am not a big Marx fan but to me too much time and energy, is spent insulting her.
My guess is she will go elsewherew and Matte will wind up with Scott.

Re: Baltimore Sports Talk Radio News
This change has been great. The sports talk continues throughout the day with a local tone which is great for Baltimore. I have had it on since it started and it's very fan friendly.
