Are We The Most Successful At Finding UDFA Talent?
It seems that no other team has turned out more impact players amongst the UDFAs. Here is our list:
1. Priest Holmes
2. Kemo (now with Panthers)
3. Mike Flynn
4. Kelly Gregg
5. Bart Scott
6. Will Demps (now with Giants)
7. BJ Sams
8. James Harrison (now with Steelers)
Coming soon- Ronnie Prude and Cory Ross (he is making this team or someone else). Ross has shown that he can play in the NFL.Last edited by Admin Steve; 08-27-2006 at 08:25 PM.

We have an impressive list there, I'd say we are the best, but I have no clue on how other teams have done when it comes to finding UDFAs.
''You'd love to go on the first day but I'm glad for the situation I'm in,'' he said. ''Baltimore knows how to play defense.''

James Harrison was originally in the Steelers TC - maybe even on their PS - before coming to TC with the Ravens in 2004.
A couple of other names to add:
Spencer Folau (played 8 years in the NFL)
Lionel Dalton (also played 8 years in the NFL)
Marques Douglas
Bennie Anderson
Alan Ricard (or did he start somewhere else first?)

I did not know that Kelly Gregg was originally signed by the Bengals. I thought we signed him and lost him to the Bengals, and then got him back. Same for James Harrison. I will look it up.
I forgot about Bennie Anderson, Spencer Foulau, etc. We have to be the best at finding and developing UDFA talent. I can't think of another team that has turned out as many UDFAs as we have, whether those players remain with us, or go off to another team. It's a new season! It's a new day!

When you consider that UDFAs are players that are supposed to be the trash heap and players with little to no chance at having an NFL career, that we have turned out so many good to great NFL players out of UDFAs speak volumes to our FO's eyes for talent and development. Just one man's opinion. It's a new season! It's a new day!
