    Question Frank Walker?

Pretson really slams him in his mutterings. Does anyone have in insight?

I'd hate to think we have made a poor signing here - our secondary is fragile at best.

    Thanks

He seemed to be tangling or jawing with someone after every play. He is a 15 yard unsportsmenship-like conduct penalty in the waiting at some critical moment.

Probably not a great signing, but he is 5th on the chart. I'd like to see Fabian Washington get healthy.

If Preston doesnt like him it means we all should like him ....

I personally can not stand him! I started the hating in the preseason. I think he is one of the few Ravens players I have ever truly disliked. I can not wait for Fabian to get better. Frank is a back up and has cost us enough yards for the season in the 1st few games! He seems to have a bad attitude and jaws way to much while on the feild! Did anyone see the other players "remove" him from the feild. That it is a BAD sign!

We need to cut him now. He is a no talent loud mouth idiot who will cost the Ravens a game at some point. Come to think of it he would fit in nicely with the Browns.

Didn't want to taint my thoughts by reading what i am sure are going to be a lot of responses that agree.

He should not be on the team and proved it in the preseason.

He can't cover, tackles ok and commits fouls at an astonishing rate.

Iirc he has something like a $1.2m bonus this year or he'd be gone already, but they paid him and now are going to use him.

To a degree that makes sense, i just wish they'd use him on the practice squad, be good for everyone because he needs practice and they don't throw flags on the practice squad.

That's kind of what I was thinking, but I just want us to do well.

After last season, and the last game of the previous one my nerves are shot. I need a big dose of Raven good news - not problem players.

Next up the Steelers - after last season's pile of s%^t on MNF at their place I may need even more nerve tonic than usual!!!

Walker has just had his name called on too many penalties and bad plays. He hasn't gotten burned yet this year, but I've got to think he's drawn more penalties than anyone else on our D in preseason and regular season.

    Re: Frank Walker?

Frank "G-String" Walker as he is better known is HORRIBLE! He got that nickname because he covers as well as a G-String!
Not only is Preston dead-on about him, he is probably being generous in his comments. This guy does not even belon on the field with other NFL cornerbacks. He was a terrible pick-up. George K. should be still standing in a penalty box for this acquisition!
Walker can NOT cover anyone and EVERYONE in the league knows it. He runs his mouth far too much to other players especially based on his lack of ability being demonstrated on the field. When he isn't talking smack to players he is whining to a ref about something or looking back to check and see if the ref caught him committ that penalty. Everytime he was on the field in coverage they took a shot his way. Everytime he was either beaten badly, out of position, or committing a penalty. Luckily for us there were some poorly thrown balls from Anderson in those situations and some plane dropped balls in others.
I cringe when I see he is on the field because I just know something is not going to go our way. I would like to see him get popped by Ray or Suggs or Trevor once to shut him up.
How could anyone forget how BAD he was in pre-season when he was starting at corner. Everyone in the league knows how weak he is and that he can't improve becasue of his own mouth, he does seem to have some natural ability, but no one can see it because he doesn't shut-up long enough to actually play the game.
I hope we never have to rely on him at the CB position and sincerely hope that Fabian can play on Monday because in 3rd down situations the Steelers will eat him alive.

I feel like I may need to join a support group if he plays much more this season - he is just that bad!

What sort of penalties is he giving up?

Did anyone see Derrick Martin escorting Frank Walker off the field? I'm assuming Walker was flapping his gums again....

I'm not a Walker fan, but for the record, he wasn't horrible yesterday. He was decent in his coverage of Winslow.... made a few mistakes though, but that's going to happen. If he would just play and keep his mouth shut it would be a nice start.
