N.O.W. to say "Thanks but no thanks" to Palin/Mccain

The Palin/McCain ticket will take another blow today as the National Organization for Woman will endorse the Obama/Biden ticket later today.

    http://starcityharbinger.com/?p=1012

"According to NPR, NOW is endorsing Obama today because the organization believes that American women should not be deceived by the addition of Sarah Palin to the Republican ticket. Senator Obama, they argue, is promoting policies and positions that support a woman’s right to bodily integrity and bolster the success of working-class women who deserve a government that is responsive to their concerns. NOW president Kim Gandy explained this morning that this endorsement is a rarity as NOW usually remains neutral in presidential elections. But this time around, claims Gandy, the stakes are too high to stay on the sidelines."

    oooofff!

Shocking, NOW doesn't support a pro life candidate, who would have thunk it. And with all their political clout, McCain is doomed. Next you are going to tell us, they don't have that all important black voting block.

This represents a seven point swing from the peak of Obama’s convention bounce… since picking Sarah Palin, Obama’s lead among women has dropped from 14% down to 3%… new state polls will be released at 6 pm eastern time.
    ==============================
State polls are released about once a week. The data I believe you are referring to is a week old. A lot has changed in the past week.

Aug. 29-31-- 32 percent of voters told the pollsters at Diageo/Hotline that they had a favorable opinion of her; most

By Sept. 4, however, 43 percent of Diageo/Hotline respondents approved of Palin with only 25 percent disapproving--an 18-point split. Apparently, voters were liking what they were hearing.

Four days later, Palin's approval rating had climbed to 47 percent (+17)

By Sept. 13 it had hit 52 percent. The gap at that point between her favorable and unfavorable numbers--22 percent--was larger than either McCain's (+20) or Obama's (+13).

But then a funny thing happened:

Palin seems to have lost some of her luster.

Since Sept. 13, Palin's unfavorables have climbed from 30 percent to 36 percent. Meanwhile, her favorables have slipped from 52 percent to 48 percent. That's a three-day net swing of -10 points

It leaves her in the Sept. 15 Diageo/Hotline tracking poll tied for the smallest favorability split (+12) of any of the Final Four.

Over the course of a single weekend, in other words, Palin went from being the most popular White House hopeful to the least.

    http://blog.newsweek.com/blogs/stump...to-falter.aspx

"I suspect that we're starting to see Palin's considerable novelty wear off. In part it's the result of a steady stream of controversial stories: her apparent unfamiliarity with the Bush Doctrine during last Thursday's interview with Charles Gibson; her refusal to cooperate with the Troopergate investigation; her repeated stretching of the truth on everything from earmarks to the "Bridge to Nowhere" to the amount of energy her state produces. That stuff has a way of inspiring disapproval and eroding one's support"

While she hasn't completely tanked yet, her numbers are moving in a negative direction. You can joke the NOW endorsement all you want but when they, who historically have never endorsed a candidate, endorse the ticket WITHOUT the woman that really shows what the educated and politically active women think. Of course the wives of the promise keepers will think differently - when they are told to.

more about Palin's () fading favorability from today:

    "Palin's (:liar:)Favorability Numbers Eroding

As voters have taken a second look at Sarah Palin() in venues like the Charlie Gibson interview and even Tina Fey's SNL sketch, they may not be as enamored of what they're seeing.

The Research 2000 poll now has Palin's favorability-unfavorability scores at 45-44 -- just a +1. Six days ago, when the poll, launched, she was at a 52-35, a +17.

I think this is the case as well. MSM is doing nothing but giving the messiah a bad name. All they want to do is shit on McCain and Palin and call him the messiah for change, but refuse to do anythign in the form of positive ads.

He attacked McC but the media is still attacking Palin and so is NOW.

I wished I had taped all the quotes for the media's attacks on Palin that FOX aired last night.

It's one thing to disagree with a candidate but to hate her because she's a woman?

    Bad mojo, man.
they don't hate her because she is a woman...they hate her because she is dumb.
