Re: Has Terell Suggs silenced the critics?

Protect the O Line and let the market determine which of the 3 LB's stays and goes.

I suspect if Suggs and / or Scott leave us, they will fall in line with AD -- someone who turned average when Ray isnt there to draw attention of the opposing teams coaching staff.

You'll come up with something. Fishing, barbecue, there are lots of good hobbies out there.

Only so many salary cap dollars you can throw at each position. You like the offensive line? Get ready to pay Jason Brown.

His definitions and arguments were so clear in his own mind that he was unable to understand how any reasonable person could honestly differ with him.

Spot on! Suggs simply wants too many $$$'s to stay around - the money for two good players. We LIKE to have superstars - but we don't NEED them.

Scott should be paid for his loyalty to us in walking out on the Browns.

I also had the idea that Ray should be offered an owners share package - rather that lots of money. I suggest someone should chack out the legality of sure a deal before we discuss it too much.

The Packers already defined the parameters of such a package, and it would be prudent to produce a similar packack to present our most prolific players. J.O. gave back a chunk of cash he could have collected. If Bama and The Ohio State university are boosting on the side, you have to think billionaire buis barons have bagmen in bunches.

I say we bring in the Ruston Rifle himself as our QBs Coach...

For the nostalgia alone, if nothing else!

Re: Has Terell Suggs silenced the critics?

Suggs is a beast on gameday and he's just entering his prime. More importantly, he's a playmaker. Maybe not quite the caliber playmaker of Ed Reed or Ray Lewis, but edging closer to that level all the time.

I dont disagree. I just think that Suggs will require more, and will be asking for more money and he is younger. I think there will be more teams after him thus making it harder to keep him a Raven.

My insight was not play-based, it was market/player based. Suggs seems like a "cash in" player.

Scott already showed himself to take less (from the Stains) a few years ago because he liked it here.

That is what my opinion was based on.

Let Suggs go - He is going to want - and someone will be willing to pay - more than we need to spend on him.

Hopefully we can keep Scott and Ray. Assuming neither of them are looking for a big, big payday we can at least keep those two.
Keeping the purple flowing way out on the West Coast!

Screw it, as long as we keep Ray and Jason Brown I'm happy. Barnes/Gooden/Ray/JJ isn't a bad LB corps...

Scott took less a few years ago because he didn't want to be a Cleveland Brown, period. After he arrived for his campus visit he quickly realized that the grass wasn't greener on the other side!

    Good observation, TRAP...

I believe I saw Ed Hartwell applying for a job at the local UPS Store in Reisterstown last time I was home...

....And T-Sizzle continues to be a force to be reckoned with.

Talk about ruthless aggression...I thought D. Anderson was gonna file sexual harassment charges against Suggs, he molested him so much yesterday!

The explicit celebration dance afterward was just icing on the cake!

    I say again: We MUST re-sign #55...Holla!!
