It's official. The Bengals player who wears No. 85 will have Ocho Cinco on the back of his jersey. According to the AP:

"The Bengals said Thursday that they will refer to the receiver formerly known as Chad Johnson by his new legal name, Chad Ocho Cinco, in all club business. That includes the back of his jersey for Sunday's season opener at Baltimore."

What a joke....

The guy is starting to venture into Dennis Rodman-like territory. I used to actually think he was funny, but this is just stupid. It's not even remotely amusing to me. He's become a tired parody of himself, and it started with his much-hyped Hall of Fame jacket celebration against the Ravens on opening night that fell flat.

I can envision this becoming a precursor of a new NFL trend. I'm sure dozens of some of the more mentally challenged players are racking their brains for their new handle.

And we get to pay to watch it.
