WTF...I won't believe anything till I see it on BaltimoreRavens.com for now on. 1st they said Harrington and now Bouman.

yeah, for all we know, we'll end up signing Tony Banks again.

I'm waiting for official news on the ravens website. I used to go by ESPN, until the fiasco with the Harrington story.

It was tongue-in-cheek and a poke at how silly this whole thing looks. If this were the Browns and these things were happening to them, we'd be laughing hysterically. When it happens to your team, it's embarrassing.:grbac:

At the end of the day, will it really matter anyway which of the aforementioned QB's is Flacco's back up?

it should only be embarrassing to ESPN...Baltimore hasn't reported a signing yet, ESPN is just speculating all over the place.

I am not sure how this is embarassing to the Ravens. ESPN reported that we signed Harrington (which ruined my labor day). We did not report it. Chris Mortensen and ESPN reported it. Until the Ravens announce it, it should mean nothing. I would rather see Simms but Bouman is more the veteran backup QB type. My guess is better than TroY Smith, not quite as good as Boller (upside at least). Come on Joe Flacco....if ever a team was due to catch lightning in a bottle at the QB spot it is the Ravens.

Agree with all you stated. Boumann could be as good in the back-up role as was Randall Cunningham in 2001 or Kyle Boller in 2006. If he does that well, I would be very happy. (Actually, I'd be happier to see Flacco come storming out of the gate and play the entire season).
