If Boller is placed on IR would you...
Sign Trent Dilfer?
Dilfer once said that he always wanted to someday return to the Ravens. Might the time be now?
NOTE: This isn't my endorsement by any means, just a simple question.

Hmmm... The story of redemption for Dilfer would be legendary, but I doubt if he's looking to return.

No. I really don't see what benefit he would be.

I think he'd be welcomed back with open arms by pretty much everyone in the city right now. That's a pretty bad slap in the face to Billick though, so I'm not convinced the organization would do it.
I'd love it if Dilfer were willing to come out of retirement to come play for us. When he retired though, he really sounded like he was done.

Re: If Boller is placed on IR would you...
It would be a great story, and I don't think it would be a slap in the face to Billick at all since they seem to have patched things up. But I can't see how it could happen. One of the main reasons Trent called it a career was because of his offseason injury (to his knee, IIRC). Besides, he has a sweet gig at ESPN now, and I'm guessing he's not going to walk away from that after he's already started, and months after he retired.
So it's fun to think about, but it will never happen.

Agree with Ravenous ....
Good story but it will be hard to walk away from his ESPN money.

That would be great. I would love to hear Ozzie explain once again that it was an organizational decision to move on from Dilfer. You may remember, but I seriously doubt it, that Billick wanted Brad Johnson who had no interest in playing with the awful offensive talent here.

Trent is done, you could see it the past few years. He is getting paid good $$$ by ESPN to work in the studio. Great story, maybe he can sign a 1 day contract so he can retire as a RAVEN!! Thanks Trent
