I think last year was a fluke (injuries, bad play calling etc). I also think our D still puts a hurt on whoever they play. We only had the problems on D we had last year because we had to put the waterboy out at CB.
Same plays were called when they went 13-3 so I wouldn't go there.
Injuries were a part of the fall. Look around the NFL, any team that was hit hard at key positions can't expect to recover.

The problems with the D were also a lack of a pass rush. I don't care who plays at CB, if a pro quarterback has 10 seconds to throw with no pressure.

The D can still be Top Ten in the league, but I also think Rexy needs to keep it simple and not worry about lining Ngata up at LB.

Our defense has a perfect blend of youth and vet talent. Our defense may not be 2000 nor 2006, but it is still good enough to win a championship. No one has ever feared our offense. Let's hope that changes this year.
    It's a new season! It's a new day!
