XBOX 360 help please?
My boy wants a new games console for his birthday. We have a PS2 and his mate says he should get an XBox 360.
I have found 3 different types :
Arcade (cheapest) Console (with 20gb HD) and Elite Console (go faster stripes).
Can anyone advise me on the options?
Cheers

I have the console one with the 20gb hard drive. You pretty much need it to save games. No need for the elite though.

Thanks G. I went on amazon - many people said they had BIG reliability problems! May now end up with a Wii.

As far as I know the reliablility probelm has now been solved. Mine buggered up once but they fixed it at no cost and I think a 3 year warranty now comes as standard

A Wii could be an inspired purchase Dave. Never played one but they are apparently excellent and also don't encourage kids to just sit on their arses because you actually have to be up and active to play some of the games.

Re: XBOX 360 help please?
I've played a Wii a few times. Good for fun gaming as ooposed to serious games.
Plus, in Madden you actually throw the ball byt moving your arm.

Re: XBOX 360 help please?
I would say a Wii for anyone who is young, invite friends round as it is a good social gaming tool. And adds the physical element to,with waving those darn controllers about.
Me,I'll just hang on my wifes 360,and unload my sniper rifle on some poor unsuspecting fools in GTA IV.What better way to unwind after a shitty day at work?Put the smile back on your face. This is a 60 minute ball game.
