That opening day looks oh so tempting right now, home to the Bengals, Orioles at home that night apparently and then the Terps at home to Cal the next Saturday, oh dear god that sounds tempting. :o

If Vertical Horizon are playing in the area the same weekend as a Ravens game then a trip would be on !!!!

Scratch the idea of opening week, the now tempting weekend to me is:

    22nd and 23rd of November.

Maryland play at home to Florida State on the 22nd and then the Ravens play at home to the Eagles the next day. Did a search of hotel and flight prices at work and they didn't seem to be too bad at all, in fact I thought they were pretty good value.

I'd under-estimated just how badly I'm champing at the bit to get back out to MD.

I can't believe the make-or-break to whether you come over here is a bloody Vertical Horizon concert. :grbac:

I can just get one of their CD's and play it really loud from my roof deck if that'll sway you.

:happyanim I've been wanting to see them for years now.:happyanim
However, it's Tania who we (I) need to look after. Having been twice :celery :celery on my own before She's not going to stand for not coming to the USA once more!!!:girlfight

I've got to sell her more than a £1,000 for a 6 hour flight to sit in the tailgate I'm happy for a bit of tourism. Remember we are talking about MD in November and its 70 deg. :liar: (Tania does NOT do cold).

Damn I wish I could afford a trip this year! Things are slotting into place nicely to be able to afford it next year though so here's hoping!!!!

Out of curiosity I checked how much it would cost for Stcokers weekend (I stress only out of curiosity - the chances on me affording that this year are slimmer than slim to none) But - for the Sheraton Baltimore City hotel (3 stars, 6 blocks from the Orioles Stadium) for hotel and flights for just me it is £748. Very reasonable indeed.

Well if she needs convincing, I'd be glad to help. There's loads of stuff to do - the Ravens game only takes up one day. Has she been to DC? Philly? NY?

And we can take you out shopping, if that would help. And have you over to dinner. What's NOT to look forward to, from a woman's perspective?

Apart from tailgating in '70 degree November weather'.
