OT / Clemens Hearing "game thread"

Sometimes, working from home pays off ...

This is rivoting stuff. Knoblauch and Petite both admitted that everything McNamee claimed was true and provided a full account to the committee.

Right now, it's just opening statements but they have Clemens and McNamee sitting within 3 feet of one another.

By the way, Clemens has definitely been through the McDonalds drive-thru way too often lately.

This is one day I wish I took a sick day from work. Must be some heavy tension in there right now. Has Clemens said anything yet?

They just took the oath .... Clemens is now on the hook.

They are allowing opening statements and Clemens is starting ....

Clemens is WAY too worked up and definitely angry ...

I am paraphrasing here but .... He says if he is guilty of anything, it's being too trusting of people. People who make false allegations should not be allowed to dictate the actions of someone else.

McNamee now speaking ....

He says he personally injected Clemens with HGH and steroids. He admit what he did was wrong and that he is part of the problem with steroids in the MLB. He says he will be prosecuted if he is caught lying and that he never injected Clemens with lidocane or B-12, a claim made by Clemens.

Needles have been provided to the committee that, McNamee claims, will be proof positive that Clemens did indeed receive injections of HGH ....

Elijah Cummings (D-MD) first to ask questions to Clemens ....

Clemens admits Petite has a strong reputation in the league as being honest and trusting.

Clemens denies having any conversation with Petite regarding HGH use ...

Cummings is setting up Clemens. Roger is over his head and if his lawyer was smart, he would get him the hell out of there.

Cummings reminds Clemens is under oath .... Clemens says Petite "misheard" him regarding HGH use. Clemens states the HGH use he spoke about was over his wife having taken HGH, not Clemens.

Clemens is stammering ... states he was shocked that Petite admitted use of HGH and had no prior knowledge since they were so close. Clemens states that he and Andy talked about using Hydroxycut and a tree root.

Sounds like it isn't looking too good for him. Maybe your right, he probably should cut it short.

Andy's wife also testified that Andy came to her about the conversation with Clemens ....

It's hearsay and, IMO, has no place here but it's making Roger stammer again.
